About us:  

Feline Only vet practice looking for enthusiastic cat lover to join our team. Seeking a Part Time/Full Time Licensed Veterinary Technician that has a positive attitude and strong communication skills and enjoy working with people and their cats. Must be reliable and honest. Experience in the veterinary field required.

Qualifications 

  • Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant. Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred - or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements.
  • Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required. 
  • Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures. 
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. 
  • Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred - or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements. 
  • Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required. 

Responsibilities 

  • Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures. 
  • Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines. 
  • Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records. 
  • Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
  • Providing general nursing care
  • Examining cats and checking vitals in preparation for the Veterinarian
  • Taking X-rays of cats
  • Administering first aid for emergencies
  • Administering medication and treatments
  • Monitoring cats under anesthesia
  • Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures. 
  • Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines. 
  • Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records. 
  • Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment

Must have:

  • Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred - or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements. 
  • Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required. 
  • Multi-tasking abilities and be detail oriented

  • Honest and reliable
