p The Schwarzman Animal Medical Center is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to specifically serve the needs of the Cardiology Department and support our non-profit mission of delivering world-class care to our patients. /p h2 Responsibilities /h2 ul li Provide exceptional and compassionate care for our patients from admission through discharge /li li Support veterinarians in all facets of care, including interpreting and executing treatment directives /li li Complete all necessary technical procedures and treatments, with strict adherence to department and hospital protocols /li li Communicate professionally with clients and referral veterinarians /li li Maintain concise and accurate records of the patient’s treatment progress and charges /li li Maintain stock, order supplies, and assist with cleaning and maintaining cleanliness of ward /li li Participate in the training of new employees and volunteers /li li Participate in educational and research projects /li li All other related duties as assigned /li /ul h2 Qualifications /h2 ul li NYS Veterinary Technician’s license (or permit) with general practice and anesthesia experience /li li Ability to handle and restrain all species of animal nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; /li li Must be able to lift 50 pounds /li li Must be able to bend or kneel for extended periods of time while helping with patient restraint and not mind…
