The practice is continuing to grow, and we’re looking for a Head Veterinary Nurse who wants to grow with it.

You’ll work closely with our new Partner to help develop the team, improve the day-to-day running of the practice and maintain an environment where excellent patient care and a positive team culture go hand in hand.

Leadership with support behind you

As Head Veterinary Nurse, you’ll be an important part of the practice leadership team.

You’ll support and develop our nursing colleagues, help maintain high clinical standards and contribute to the smooth running and continued development of the practice.

Just as importantly, you won’t be expected to do it alone.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys bringing people together, creating structure and helping a team perform at its best.

The best of a community practice and hospital network

As part of Medivet’s hub-and-spoke model, Bisley combines the close-knit feel and continuity of a local practice with access to the resources of our nearby 24-hour hospital in Wokingham.

When your patients require more advanced care, you’ll have access to experienced hospital teams, advanced diagnostics, modern equipment and a wider clinical network.

You’ll also spend an 8-hour shift at our Wokingham 24-hour hospital every fourth weekend, alternating between Saturdays and Sundays, as well as participating in the hospital’s on-call rota.

It’s a great opportunity to maintain and broaden your clinical skills, work alongside experienced hospital colleagues and gain exposure to more complex cases - while bringing that experience back to your Bisley team.

A £1,000 sign-on bonus is available for this position.

About you

You’re a RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care. You’re a confident leader with experience of getting the best out of every colleague.

What you’ll be doing

Typically, in this role, you’ll:

• Deliver exceptional care to patients, leading nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities, supporting consults, surgeries and procedures, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards
• Deliver patient monitoring and care, and manage admissions and discharges
• Deliver exceptional care to your clients
• Provide clinical leadership, inspiration and development to the nursing team
